Frank Family Vineyards, Napa Valley Chardonnay, 2006: spoken along the same lines as Rombauer. 'Nuf said. Tasted many places including Artisan Wine Bar in Walnut Creek.
Patz and Hall “Hyde Vineyard”, Carneros Chardonnay. Heavy hitter on name and price but excellent. Tasted at Prima's in Walnut Creek.
Jade Mountain (now owned by Chalone) 2004 Mourvedre. I love Mourvedre and this one speaks volumes. Great price too. Can be found for near $20. Wonderful with ribs.

I heard Napa Cellars has same style of Chard as Rombauer and Frank Family but I haven't tried yet. Have you? ;o)
You should try Stephen Ross out of San Luis Obispo / Edna Valley. With a name like that you know you will like it.
Does Stephen Roos make good chard? Thanks!
Stephen Ross makes two excellent Chardonnays. The Edna Valley Chardonnay comes from the southern end of the Edna Valley. Very fruity with just a little oak. The Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay comes from the Santa Maria valley and is more like a European Chard. The two are very distinct but I enjoy each of them.
In the spirit of full disclosure I know the winemaker but I have no financial interest in the company.
Thanks for the quick replied. As a matter of fact, I already have Stephen Ross on my list to taste, because of the name.
